2008 Programme blossoming!

2008 promises to be another very successful year on the Teachnet journey with a number of new teachers joining our programme from around the country and returning teachers wishing to work on projects that incorporate emerging technologies.

But for any teacher out there thinking that their own work is not yet good enough for Teachnet UK .... think again! The programme is about providing teachers with a challenge - moving them from where they are currently with ICT to some way along the road to where they'd like to be! Don't be shy in stepping forward to join this network of contributors ... it's not all about authoring advanced and 'Flashy' resources [although we are grateful for those teachers who can show the rest of us how it's done! ;-) ]

Awards Ceremony: 22 April 2008

Almost fifty successful Teachnet contributors, along with their partners and headteachers came from across the country [some as far away as Leeds and Newcastle] to celebrate their successes and receive awards and certificates.

Glyn Barritt [Teachnet UK Project Manager] introduced each candidate and described their project whilst presentations were made by Sue Williamson, Direction of Leadership and Innovation at the SSAT. Our guests also included Bengta Jordan from Adobe, another generous sponsor of the Teachnet UK programme.

We are sincerely grateful to Citi for both its generosity in hosting the event and its continuing financial support of the programme. And our special thanks to Florencia Spangaro who once again did so much to make this a truly enjoyable occasion for everyone.
