This project introduces numbers 1 – 20 in French. It can be used for Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 2 teaching. Many resources can be used on an Interactive Whiteboard with a whole class, or by pupils on individual computers.

This project introduces phrases for a typical morning routine. It starts with providing a good deal of guidance to students, and gradually withdrawing it so that by the end of the resource, students should be able to reproduce the phrases with only an image to prompt them.

This project was designed to bring together KS2 and KS4 students combining target language use and ICT in an innovative way.  The project linked a secondary school and local primary feeder school uniting subject use with ICT and elements of transition.

These activities were originally designed as KS2 resources but they also work well with Year 7 beginners' groups and with students with special educational needs. They introduce weather phrases and encourage the use of language in increasingly more independent and creative ways.

The resources in this project were designed originally to be used with primary KS2 children. Most of the activities are designed to be used on an Interactive Whiteboard, but they can also be used on a stand-alone basis.

This project with presentations, games and quizzes has been designed to introduce key words and phrases related to TV and film, and to extend that knowledge through reading and writing activities.  It is suitable for more able KS3 learners and for KS4 students.

This unit of study is part of the AS French programme of topics used by all exam boards and targets students aiming for at least a B in their final examination. The resource can also be used to support the coursework option in the final A2 year.

Project-based learning is an instructional approach that contextualizes learning by presenting students with problems to solve or products to develop. Working in pairs of teams, student develop life-long learning skills. Assessment of the learning utilises the Asset Languages Scheme.

This project is suitable for KS4 students and aims to provide for a mixed ability class in languages enabling differentiation in the lesson for higher and foundation students taught at the same time.

The first unit for NVQ French, a national vocational qualification recognised by OCR and an opportunity for students to learn French in a business context. It has proved to be very successful for students at the City School [Sheffield] and across the city as the number of students acquiring 4 level 2 Language units has increased.

This resource has been developed for Year 10-11 students who previously, had not seen success in their language studies. It enables them to carry on studying a language but to apply it to a work context, in this case hairdressing and making appointments.

This series of projects covering tenses in KS3-4 French are aimed at students in years 9-11 to help them grasp the importance of the different tenses. The resources have been trialled with a range of student ability and found to be very successful.

The first focuses on the use of the present tense.

The second in the series of tenses in KS3-4 French focuses on the use of the past tense.

The third in the series on tenses in KS3-4 French focuses on the use of the future and conditional tenses.

This 7-section module focuses on nouns, adjectives, possessives, demonstratives, pronouns, articles and prepositions, and will help students grasp the importance of the different grammar points at KS3-4.

The first of three projects covering Reading and Listening levels for GCSE French. The interactive presentations in this project are to be used with Year 10/11 pupils as extension, consolidation and revision material.

A project to complement Christine's resource and authored by her colleague at Notre Dame - this module of 4 lessons is focused on the speaking part of the GCSE exam and aimed largely at lower ability students.

This is the first in a series of three resources offering interactive PowerPoint exercises for mixed ability groups in Year 7 [Key Stage 3] French language learning. Most feature vocabulary practice, levelled reading exercises and levelled written tasks.

This is the first of two projects for Year 7 students, focusing on elements of grammar which often need constant practice. A variety of resources is offered- interactive Excel-based worksheets, interactive PowerPoint presentations and games, some designed to be used on an interactive whiteboard.

This is the second of two projects for Year 7 students, focusing on the language surrounding colours. Credit is given to The Animation Factory and Linguamate, originators of the animated graphics and gaming activities offered by this project.

This project covers the tourism unit in the study of French and aims to promote both independent and co-operative work through the use of web quests and worksheets.

This project provides students with KS3 skills revision whilst researching a famous French celebrity. Suggestions as to how the activities can be tailored for beginner, intermediate and advanced students are included.

This project aims to bring together students to learn and practice foreign languages through drama. The added benefits are to link the Languages curriculum at Key Stage 3 with a vocational course and to give Key Stage 5 students invaluable practice both in language speaking and presentation.

A programme of study to progress from National Curriculum Level 2 to 5 in 5 sessions. The programme will cover food and drinks in general then be moving on to ordering food and drinks in various places whilst travelling in French-speaking countries.

Carine's resource comprises four units of study for Entry Level Spanish, a route which the school has found successful in helping lower ability students to gain a GCSE qualification.

This project will aim to teach higher ability students to understand and use the imperfect tense in French, by exploiting standard school software (Word and PowerPoint) in a simple but creative way.

This project primarily for use with Year 7 students aims to assess the language learning skills and demonstrates the use of audio in PowerPoint presentations.

The project aims to establish a primary link between two classes in schools where a common foreign language is taught. It will initially involve finding information about some of the other class’s cultural habits, in this case, food!

The project [linking well to the project by Lyn Chalk below] will be learner-centred and performance-based, and initial research into Paris monuments will culminate in students performing prepared role-plays in French, based on a tourist visit to Paris.

The project, developed for a class or Year 8 students, will result in a short video sequence [approximately 2 minutes] of an activity in French, for example, a weather fore cast presentation.
