Designed to bring together children’s skills in Science, DT and ICT, this resource is truly cross curricular and aimed at classes of Y5 and Y6 children, although easily adaptable for all KS2 children.

This Gifted and Talented Project for children in years 4-6 also links to the KS2 Science topic 'Healthy Living' by looking at the design of a portable water storage system for the primary classroom.

This project aims to give pupils practical and scientific activities in the production of a hovercraft. Pupils learn how to shape and joint polystyrene, card and wood, and also assemble an electric circuit.

This simple scheme of work is designed to run over the course of 5 weeks and aims to give Year 6/7 pupils an insight into KS3/4 Design Technology.

This resource covers Scale of Production, CAD/CAM, Use of 2D Design, and Packaging. If required, you could extend the project to cover paper as a material and packaging/recycling logos as well.

The videos give instruction in the correct and safe use of machines that secondary pupils are typically allowed to use with training, without direct supervision.
