For this year's Teachnet programme, Anne decided to develop a scheme of work that she has used for the past two years with her students, incorporating project-based learning. Her scheme is aimed at KS3 Year 7 students but the ideas and lesson plans could easily be adapted to suit those a little younger or older.

The theme is ‘Going Global’ and the scheme of work is set out over seven weeks covering Geography, History, Religious Studies and Art. There are 28 lessons planned with associated resources, all accessed via the Scheme of Work. individual lesson plans are linked to the resources. Other teachers may not wish to download the whole scheme and therefore, I had split the four subjects into separate areas.

There are also related lessons in English and Citizenship that could easily be linked in with other lessons, an interactive quiz [with qualifying certificate] and a downloadable passport template that could be given to students to record their progress through this unit.
