C3 Numerical Methods
This stand alone topic in C3 is one of the most straightforward and as many as 8 marks could be available on an exam paper. As long as students follow the hints outlined in the guide, 10% of the exam can easily be attained.
The specifications suggest that you should be able to use the locations of roots of f(x) = 0 in an interval. The second area to be assessed is to find approximate solutions of equations using simple iterative methods.
