This project arises from a course which was run for parents at Notre Dame High School in Sheffield, exploring the different methods by which basic numeracy skills [addition/subtraction/multiplication/division] are taught in schools.
The result is a series of Powerpoint presentations, Flash help files and Edexcel question sheets explaining the different methods at National Curriculum levels 3, 4 and 5.
I suggest that the addition and subtraction resources should cover 5 hours, whilst the multiplication and division could also extend to a full five hours; for example, in the multiplication section, are the grid/traditional/geolosian and partitioning methods.
