Use slideshow to introduce the concept of designing cities to be sustainable.

• St Mary’s Island, Chatham
• Fastrack transport system in Gravesham

All examples have links for further investigation.

Pupils can look at these and other similar examples and then set about designing their own future village trying to keep the sustainability aspects in mind.

These designs could include leaflets, powerpoint presentations, models or a combination of all three.
