Activities

All activities are PowerPoint presentations, created for sharing with pupils via a data projector. There are a variety of ways in which they could be used . . . .

• orally, with children calling out the answers as a cohort, team or individually.
• with children using talk, pair, share to describe how to solve the questions - switch off the automatic slide show settings to make the most of these discussions. The children learn a lot from hearing how each other solve the problems.
• with children working independently and writing the answers on whiteboards or on paper.

The timings on the presentations can easily be altered or removed to suit the needs of the cohort using them or the objectives of the teacher. For guidance on how to do this, follow the making alterations link or the one in the page menu.
