Have you ever played on Brain Training computer games? How did you feel when you solve the questions in a faster time?

Following discussions with my pupils, they thought such activities a fun way of developing their speed and accuracy of recall for a range of number facts. Using timed presentations were seen as one way to enable all pupils to participate in such activities and the presentations in this project were initially developed for use (with a data projector) as Mental Starters relating to their learning objectives or personal targets. We had fun trying them out and alter their timings depending on how skilled the pupils already are at such calculations. Many of the presentations also have two levels of questions per slide, the upper question being the easiest.
