Introduction

This project was designed to bring together KS2 and KS4 students combining target language use and ICT in an innovative way.  The project linked a secondary school and local primary feeder school uniting subject use with ICT and elements of transition.

For students, the project developed confidence in language skills, team-working, problem solving, peer assessment and presentation skills.  For teachers, the project provided opportunities for collaboration both internal and external, classroom-based ICT use and the chance to develop an innovative unit of work which could be extended across other phases and subjects.  

Feedback from students and teachers was positive and made use of the school’s new Virtual Learning Environment which added an extra dimension to the project.
