Scenario:

Pupils are presented with a project brief in which they are introduced to a major music company called '2tone'. They are asked to design a music data handling system which will be able to store information about their customers' music collections.
 
The system must allow customers to solve specific problems of their choice.  Handling the data will take the form of sorting, querying and presentation.  The system will need to receive inputs, process and output information and must be properly planned.

A presentation directed at 2tone must be produced detailing how the system can be used to solve a problem or several problems and pupils are also asked to write an evaluation of the project as a whole.

All teaching resources can be found by selecting the above links. The whole project is a self-contained unit of work which is intended to take a minimum of 5 hours and a maximum of 8 hours. Obviously, this will largely depend upon the competency of individual students and the range of activities the teacher wishes to include.
