Teacher's guide
Initially I set about writing a few homework sheets as a way of testing the students' knowledge for each of the basic skills needed during the C1 Pure Maths Course. I aimed the work to specifically match the Edexcel C1 Pure Text Book, so that as a teacher it was easy for me to match the homework with the work we had covered in the lesson.
This developed over time to be a complete package of all the sections of the C1 course. Each homework sheet is labelled with the course (C1), the chapter number (1 etc) and the section of the chapter (2), eg C1-1.3 means Course C1 - Chapter 1, Section 3. I have found that this makes it easy for the students to understand and use the sheets, and that they also know whereabouts in the text books they should refer to if they have problems.
Finally, the advantage of the homework sheets is that the students do not have access to the answers. I make my students do the working out on paper, and then write their answers on the homework sheet, they then submit both to me. This means it is quick to mark, yet if there are a lot of errors I can refer to their working out to see where they are going wrong. I am also free to use the questions in the text book for lesson time without needing to save any for homework tasks.
The resource here has been submitted with the answers so that you do not have to spend precious time working them out (I apologise in advance for any minor mistakes if you find any).
