The C1 course is offered as FIVE projects and equate to eight chapters of the Heinemann Core Mathematics 1 Textbook, as outlined below. The homework sheets themselves have been designed to support teachers and students working towards the Edexcel examinations.

Project 1: Functions

This deals with the topics that appear in Chapter 1. The contents include: Simplifying like term; Indicies laws; Factorising; Expanding brackets and Surds. There are 8 homework sheets available in this section.

Project 2: Equations

This deals with the topics that appear in Chapter 2 & Chapter 3. The contents include: Completing the square; Solving quadratic equations by factorising; Quadratic formula; Simultaneous equations; Inequalities and Drawing or sketching graphs of quadratic functions. There are 11 homework sheets available in this section.

Project 3: Graphs and coordinate geometry

This deals with the topics that appear in Chapter 4 & Chapter 5.

The contents include: Cubic functions; Reciprocal function; Points of intersection; Transformations of graphs; Equations of straight lines; Gradients of straight line and parallel and perpendicular lines. There are 12 homework sheets available in this section.

Project 4: Sequences and series

This deals with the topics that appear in Chapter 6. The contents include: Nth term; Recursive formula; Arithmetic sequences and series; Sigma notation and the sum of an arithmetic series. There are 7 homework sheets available in this section.

Project 5: Calculus

This deals with the topics that appear in Chapter 7 & Chapter 8. The contents include: Gradient formula; Differentiation; 2nd order differentiation; Rate of change; Equations of tangents and normals; Integration; Integral sign and Finding the constant of integration
