In each file, pupils will be asked to type correctly [including accents] a word in French. If they include a space, or an extra character, or don’t spell the word exactly correct, the formula will not recognize the word as correct. When it does recognize the correct word, the next box will change from ‘faux’ to ‘vrai’.
It is also generally advisable to ask pupils to press the enter button when they’ve typed a word, rather than clicking away.
Occasionally, the box may not change from ‘faux’ to ‘vrai’. In this case, ask them to try typing it again. This will generally solve the problem.
Some Interactive Excel files will require pupils to click on a blank box. When they do, a triangle button should appear to the right of the blank box. Then they click on the triangle button and a list will appear. Pupils select the right word from the list, and the formula should change from ‘faux’ to ‘vrai’ if they’ve selected the right word. |
