Language through Drama

Framework for the lessons

With such provision for creativity and flexibility, it is difficult to provide a lesson plan for each activity. Much will depend on the level of the students and also on the amount of time available. However, the project provides a script that can be adapted depending upon the levels and needs of students.

Le Petit Chaperon rouge emotions

Material for the episode when Le petit chaperon rouge is daydreaming in the forest. This will help students to practise their own roles [happy, sad, tired etc]. The groups of students should be divided into pairs - the more able students paired with the less able - and given a sentence to practice together.

Opinions Aide Memoire [Word]

This is support material so that students can make use of the target language when feeding back to each other.

Ask the students to gather and get them to perform

Make use of videoing for the purpose of improving the performance: students then feedback to each other in French or when the students are ready, for the purpose of recording the final performance

To conclude the sessions: ask the students to feedback in French about the first session
