Year 7 Year 8

These presentations are aimed at KS3 students only [ie 11 to 14].

They will provide teachers with different and innovative ways of reinforcing and revising classroom learning. They are a powerful tool for independent learning.

Although categorised into 3 year groups [Y7, Y8, Y9] a year 7 student, for example, can use a year 8 presentation or vice versa. It all depends on the school scheme of work and course book. All presentations cover commonly taught topics at KS3 and are therefore compatible with any scheme of work or course book.

Each presentation includes:

  • practice/reinforcement of key vocabulary [levels 1-2]
  • reading tasks [level of the tasks indicated on the relevant slides]
  • writing tasks [level of the tasks indicated on the relevant slides]
  • some also offer listening exercises and grammatical points

Each presentation should cover 1 to 2 lessons according to the students’ ability and the length of lessons. Before use, teachers should go through each presentation carefully and identify what tasks they expect their students to complete according to the ability of the group.

  • More able students should complete all tasks.
  • Mid-range ability students should complete most tasks.
  • Less able students will only complete selected tasks and may need additional support

Once completed, all tasks can be checked and marked on line by the teacher. Alternatively, specific slides can be printed off.
