Lesson 2 plan

  • Students will describe how the Holocaust has been remembered / portrayed by different ‘interest groups’, and
  • Assess the reliability of the information found on the Internet and evaluate its worth, taking into account the opinions of ‘interest groups

Lesson 3 plan

  • Students will compare and contrast the differences in the interpretations which they have discovered. Explain why there are different ‘interpretations’ of the Holocaust, while evaluating websites researched, and
  • Research website structures of any website visited, especially large sites. How are hyperlinks used to make effective navigation through sites? .. and
  • Begin to plan the content and structure of their own Holocaust website.
 

Lessons 4 and 5 plan

  • Formulate own interpretation of the Holocaust and present own ideas to a chosen audience with the purpose of educating about the historical event
  • Use Web authoring software to present their own ideas on the Holocaust, with a focus on presenting information to a chosen audience
 

Lesson 6 plan

  • Evaluate their work on the Holocaust and consider where the reliability of information and sources impacts upon other historical interpretations
