This topic forms part of the historical study of the twentieth century, looking at the consequences of the World Wars and the Cold War, and focusing on the era of John F Kennedy's presidency in the United States.

Students study the JFK's likely enemies - the Mafia, the Soviets, members of the Anti-Civil Rights Movement - and the reasons behind his untimely assassination in the 1963.

This resource provides an ideal introduction to Twentieth Century USA, often not studied until KS4, and follows on from ‘Black Peoples of the USA’ often used as the World Study after 1900, usually studied in Year 8. Skills relating to the analytical use of evidence are reinforced.
