Shadowy FigureA morbidly fascinating topic for most people but for students studying KS3 History, a way of focusing on a changing Britain in the late 1800s and the circumstances which lead to the rise of a monster like Jack the Ripper.

This topic slots into a study of Britain between 1750 and 1900, categorising this study into Transport, Industry, Housing and Leisure. They investigate how Britain changed its culture, the causes of those changes and the consequences of rapid urban growth and deprivation.

Students build suspect profiles, discussing motives and opportunities; they even explore the possible involvement of a murdering Royal threesome!
