About Nicola
Gardiner
With a degree in Fine
Art, Nicola started teaching in 2001 in the Art department
at Prospect Technology College in Reading. In 2004 she worked
in the Microsoft Innovative Teacher Scheme in Reading and
her innovative use of ICT in Art and Design was recognised
by a Teachnet Award in 2005. She also published some materials
for the Specialist Schools Trust CPD network on the use of
ICT in Art and Design at that time. |
| Following
the birth of her first son, Adam, she moved with her partner
from Reading to Warwickshire and started working at Stratford
High Schools Maths and Computing Specialist College in 2004.
Appointed as an Innovative Teacher in that school she as awarded
a second Teachnet Award in 2006 again for the use of ICT in
Art and Design. Following the birth of son number two, Jack,
she has returned to work in Easter 2006 with several planned
contributions to the CPD and Teachnet initiatives for the coming
year. Her main (school based) aspiration is to become head of
Art and Design. |
