The SMART board notebook files cover all eight circle theorems, include examples for teacher delivery and have a Geometer’s Sketchpad File attached. A GSP file is used to demonstrate the theorem in question. It is the interactivity of such a file that improves student understanding.

A particular example is the theorem that states that ‘the angle at the centre is twice that at the circumference’. Students struggle to apply the correct theorem unless they have seen something similar. The GSP files allow students to see the full range of possibilities for a particular theorem.
