Use
of PowerPoint in History
Once
the basics of PowerPoint are mastered – relatively little ICT skill is needed
– the presentations can be made to use in lessons in a variety of ways. See
the tutorial to help you get started
if you have never attempted creating a presentation. The process is quite slow
to start with but after a while it become a simple task to whip up something
really quite stunning! Revision
exercise – ten facts about a person or event are flashed up. Starting with the
most difficult/obscure first. See how many questions pupils need before they
can work out the person/event. Pupils have to piece together the information
that they are presented with to make a judgement. Teachers
can give pupils a series of slides and they have to sort them into the correct
sequence of events. You will also find examples |
