Many History teachers are all too well aware that they do not make enough use of ICT in their lessons. OFSTED also recognises the fact
.

Very often it is not a lack of skill on the part of teachers that is the problem. The biggest drawback and most common complaint is that History teachers cannot get access to a computer room. If they can, they can only use it very rarely or with only one class in a year group. The story is all too familiar.

There are ways History teachers can use ICT in their lessons without having to move a whole class to a computer room.

There are ways of using stand alone machines - either networked or not;
a few machines
located in a classroom or on an interactive whiteboard
