Downloading your movie

  1. Connect your camera to the computer using the USB port or the Firewire connection

 

  1. Now open Movie Maker

 

  1. You need to click on Capture from Video Device

 

 

  1. Follow the wizard instructions to

·        Select your camera

·        Name your video

·        Select the file to store it in

 

  1. Then make sure your camera is in play mode and set up to the start of your required video. 

 

  1. Press play on your video camera and click on Start Capture on the screen

 

  1. At the end of your video, click on Stop Capture and then stop your video camera

 

 

 

 

 

You should now have a series of clips and you can now begin to edit your movie.

 

 

 

 


TIPS:  It may be a good idea to make a backup copy of your file
at this stage in case you want to go back to this original.
