4 Adding Effects and Transitions

To add an Effect: From the EDIT MOVIE menu, select VIEW VIDEO EFFECTS

This will decide how your clip is shown, e.g. Fade in from black. You can see the effect in the preview window to the right.

Click and drag the effect over the required clip (a star will appear over the top of the clip)

To add a Transition: In the same way, from the EDIT MOVIE menu, select VIEW VIDEO TRANSITIONS

This will decide the transitions between two clips, e.g. Circle. You can see the effect in the preview window to the right.

Click and drag the effect to the Transaction bar
