This project will provide Key Stage 3 students with an authentic learning experience focusing on the use of ICT in MFL. The four MFL skills areas – listening, speaking, reading and writing – will be incorporated by the project. The topic for study is ‘les monuments de Paris’. The project will be learner-centred and performance-based, and initial research into Paris monuments (in both English and the target language) will culminate in students performing prepared role-plays in French, based on a tourist visit to Paris. Students will use ICT equipment to produce a Powerpoint presentation on their chosen monument.

This project is linked to the assignment produced by Lyn Chalk, also of St. Gregory’s School. Lyn’s project is designed as an extension activity, to enable students to film their dialogues and edit their digitally-produced films.
